PBC Staff Spotlight – Dan Baker

PBC’s Dan Baker takes time out to share a bit about how he started in the construction industry and his most memorable project so far.

Tell us a bit about what your role is at PBC and how long you have been with the team.
My role for the majority of the time is a Carpenter.   I’m also learning about site management during my time to help me with my career in the future.

What got you into the construction industry?
My father was a Carpenter. I don’t remember not using tools during my childhood and I’ve always preferred being hands on. He put me through my apprenticeship and taught me a great deal.

Most memorable project or moment so far on the job?
It’s a recent project, The Globe Hotel restoration.  It required a great deal of problem solving for the entire duration of the job, and the end result is magnificent.

Best thing about coming to work every day?
Being able to come to work and work with my hands, problem solving, and the variety of different tasks that a carpenter endures.
