We Build More Than Buildings. We Build Careers.

At Premier Building & Construction, we’re proud of the buildings we deliver, but we’re equally proud of the people who deliver them. That’s why our latest video asks a simple question, Why work with PBC?

The answer isn’t just about the projects. It’s about the people, the culture, the opportunities to grow and the environment we’ve built over almost 20 years in the construction industry!

We build more than buildings, we build careers!

PBC has grown significantly since Anthony Baker started the business in 2006, but one thing has remained constant, people are at the heart of the business.

From apprentices and trades through to administration, design, project management and leadership, we believe people should have the opportunity to develop their skills and grow within their role.

“PBC’s strength is being able to support growth in the role you are in.”

That’s the experience of Building Designer Zac Brodie, who has grown with PBC throughout his career.

For us, that progression matters.

It means investing in our people, giving them responsibility, supporting their development and creating opportunities for them to see where their career can take them.

Great people. Great projects.

There’s another reason people enjoy working at PBC, we build great projects.

From major commercial and industrial developments through to community, education, health and maintenance projects, our teams get to work on projects that make a genuine contribution to the communities around us.

As our team says in the video, there is something pretty rewarding about seeing a project go from an idea on paper to something real.

Recognising our people

This year has also been a great reminder of the talent within our team.

PBC was proud to see Grady McCarron recognised as Apprentice of the Year, while Melanie Baker was recognised with the Women in Building Award of the Year at the 2026 Victorian Riverina Murray Regional Business Awards.

These achievements are personal milestones, but they also reflect the environment around them, one where people are encouraged to learn, contribute and grow.

A culture that works

Ask our team what makes PBC different and you’ll hear a lot about the way the business operates.

Trustworthy leadership.

Strong relationships.

Opportunities to progress.

Great projects.

And a team that genuinely works together.

We believe that when people are supported to do their best work, everyone benefits — our employees, our clients, our subcontractors and ultimately the projects we deliver.

We build more than just buildings.

Construction is a people business.

The buildings might be what we leave behind, but the people we develop along the way are just as important.

We build more than just buildings. We build careers.
